The lottery for the Calgary Fringe has been drawn, and I didn’t get into it either.
I decided against entering ADFA next year, partly because I don’t have anything ready, and it’s in February. So…no show at all for 2014.
I’m the chair of the programming committee for Alberta Playwrights Network, and one of the things we’ve been trying to suss out is how to assist mid-career playwrights – those who no longer beginners, but haven’t had a PACT production or can’t work steadily as artists – to keep going. Things to think about for the new year…
